What is time .......

Times just goes by to fast , cant keep up and catching up is a nightmare seems like i just stay behind , BTECH no joke .....

4th term ......

2nd semester - Last term just started and there is so much to do , trying to play catch up is much harder than it seems .........

Last week till holidays...

1 week left till 3rd term is over with and i still have a lot to catch up on , gonna need a lot of energy to get through this week .......

NOT being the key word.....

So Btech is proving to be harder than i thought , but NOT giving up , onward and upwards :)

Fingers crossed .....

So today we have our first big hand in for computers , soooo stressed , not at all near where i want to be yet , lets hope for the best , still a couple of hours to go ................

Another one done and now just for a little Photoshop touched and i'm ready for hand in :)  

6am .....

All nighters are becoming a habit very quickly ..........

Off to bed for a quick power nap before facing the last day before DKP handin :)

Pinterest procrastination !!

Procrastinating while waiting for renders to finish i came across this awesome example of innovative architecture. Bringing light to dull spaces and creating interest in what could have been a boring extension.

Quick blog before the power goes out again , busy detailing my green wall and passive cooling stack system , some examples of the direction I'm heading in :

New week , new start .....

Been a hectic weekend off work work work , days creeping closer to D-day , had a little freak out session yesterday , all good today and back to working hard , LETS DO THIS , finalizing plans and sections for Thursdays hand in today ......... 

 

Passive all the way ......

So seeing as i have not been so disciplined with blogging as i should have been , i am going to start making up for that now :)

Busy doing some more research on passive cooling for our jazz building , my system i decided on is pretty straight forward , basically using a green wall on the south of my building to pull cool air into my building and then using a stack system similar to the second image with a combination of wind turbines and solar chimney at the top to pull warm air out of my building ......

Hi guys :)

Sooo ive been very MIA when it comes to my blog .....
The last 2 weeks have been sooooo crazy getting ready for PORTFOLIO !!


So the count down begins ....... 26 days to go .....................

Design .....

Just had a design crit and it completely made me rethink my entire design , soooooooo lets start again ..................

Passive cooling

Passive cooling is a building design approach that focuses on heat gain control and heat dissipation in a building in order to improve the indoor thermal comfort with low or nil energy consumption.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Choosing a system is harder than it seems , but makes for some interesting research :) 

LUMION ....

So after all my 3D Max failed attempts at rendering we started a new program yesterday in computers only to get cut off 30 min into our lecture .....

These power outages are really making my life difficult.

TERM 2 :)

First day of the new term and already hard at work rendering .........lets see what this term has in store for us :) 

Donald Appleyard ......

So had my Urban Design presentation today on Donald Appleyard and his theory on LIVABLE STREETS , interesting to research and so glad I'm done now , now on to the next project DESIGN, DESIGN,DESIGN ............

ARCHITECTURE crazyness !!!

So this pass week has been crazy from our first design hand in to our 2nd year office scenario hand in to DKD Green star building hand in and having a presentation on Donald Appleyard tomorrow , I've hardly had a chance to breath let alone think really overwhelmed time to get my head in the game !!!!

NO great thing is created SUDDENLY .........

So JUST handed in our first DESIGN project and already on to the next one , having a quick site visit and discussion , EXCITED !!!!

When NOTHING goes right just go left !!

Tomorrow will be the last design crit before our Event pavilion hand in on Monday ,
and to be honest this design is getting the better of me ...........


Lets hope for the best !!

So just had my first class in 3D max , and I must say its pretty great so far , think as soon as I get the hang of this program there will be some pretty amazing RENDERINGS and ANIMATIONS created :)

The first two buildings are both bigh tall office buildings were as the last one is a newly renovated GREEN historic building .

They really are doing some amazing things in Australia regarding GREEN building design :)

Finally got my blog to work :D
So its been a crazy start to the year with project overload , trying to stay postive and KEEP UP :)

TO DO LIST for the next 3 weeks :

1. WORK LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW
2. CTL , ALT , SAVE , SAVE , SAVE
3. DRINK MORE COFFEE THAN ONE PERSON WOULD EVER NEED
4. FREAKOUT ( just a little )
5. COMPLETE ALL ASSIGNMENTS ON TIME
